GALS WITH GAY PALS was nominated for the ‘Community Supporter Award’ in the 2007 Rainbow Awards.
The Community Supporter Award is the only award out of 21 that acknowledges ‘non gay’ members of the community who are actively in support of the gay and lesbian community.
The other nominees in this category were:
Melbourne Lord Mayor – John So: for an amazing speech he gave at the launch of the Midsummer Festival.
Comedian – Rachel Berger: A favourite in the lesbian and gay community. Rachael constantly steps up to the microphone to raise funds for a good cause.
Tanja Lee Jones feels it is a great honour to be nominated amongst just fine Melbournians.
Tanjable Press aims is to sell as many books as they can and to continue to make the greatest difference to those living with HIV/AIDS. 10% of each book sold goes directly to OZ Show Biz Cares Equity Fights AIDS.
In the RAINBOW spirit we click our ruby slippers together and say:
“There’s no thing like LOVE”
“There’s no thing like LOVE”
“There’s no thing like LOVE”
